About Us

The Dubuque Museum of Art seeks to excite, engage and serve diverse communities within the Tri-State area through our collections, exhibitions and educational programs. We connect generations of people to their cultural heritage and exceptional art.

Founded in 1874, the DuMA is Iowa's oldest cultural institution and maintains a permanent collection focused on 20th century American Regionalist art and living artists connected to the tri-state region. Additionally, DuMA annually presents more than 15 special exhibitions, classes and educational programs and strives to reduce barriers through outreach to the community.
